The MILA 4500 Slave Gearbox Old Style has 35mm backset, 92mm centres, is single spindle, slave centre case, 234mm case height and has 50mm case width.
A UPVC slave lock on French doors secures the inactive slave door, keeping it firmly closed when not in use. It typically uses shoot bolts or hooks that lock into the top and bottom of the frame, allowing the active master door to lock into it for added strength. This ensures both doors stay securely aligned and provides reliable protection against forced entry.
To suit old style Mila cases, it offers a cost effective solution for repairing or refurbishing existing door systems without needing to replace the entire strip.
Please note that the fixing points are unthreaded and require the use of self tapping screws.
Please note that some older locks are fitted with an offset or cranked connector. This only affects gearbox replacements, not full length locks, but it is an important factor to check before fitting. Replacement gearboxes are now supplied with inline connectors only.
They remain compatible with older locks. However, the drive gear behind the faceplate would need adapting by modifying the square hole in the drive gear into a slot to ensure correct operation.
